What we believe

YHWH is one. He is Creator of all that exists. He is eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever present. He is holy, faithful merciful, and just. We are His children and, through grace, He desires to draw near to us. YHWH is love and we must love YHWH with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength

Yahshua is the Son of YHWH. He is the living Word of YHWH and is the promised Messiah. He has existed from the beginning, and through Him YHWH created all things. He is the Shekanyah glory come in the flesh. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin. He lived as our perfect example and teacher so that anyone who has seen the Son has seen the Father. He was crucified and died for us as the ultimate and final Passover sacrifice for our sins. He was resurrected to eternal life after three days and three nights in the grave, and has ascended to heaven where He sits at the right hand of the Father. He now intercedes for us before YHWH as our high priest, and will return at the end of this age as King of Kings and in power and glory to establish the kingdom of YHWH forever.

Holy Spirit is the power, personality, and presence of YHWH. More than just a force, the Holy Spirit is His essence. Whereas Yahshua is the glory of YHWH incarnate, the Spirit is that which dwells in the heart. The Spirit works in perfect harmony with the Word to instruct, convict, and empower His children to love, faith, obedience, understanding, and to do good works in His holy name through spiritual gifts. Given to certain chosen of YHWH’s people in the past, a measure of the Spirit is now given in earnest to all of His children who repent of their sins and have faith in Messiah Yahshua. In YHWH’s coming kingdom, the fullness of the Holy Spirit will live in the hearts of all mankind.

Holy Scripture is the divinely inspired and authentic written Word of YHWH. As such, in its original form it is perfect and infallible. Scripture is YHWH’s revelation and His complete expressed will to humanity. It is the foundation of all wisdom and knowledge and is the instruction in right living for His people. Holy scripture is one seamless whole from beginning to end, and is, along with YHWH’s spirit, the supreme and final authority in the faith and life of the true believer. The word of YHWH is truth.

The Law of YHWH is holy and righteous and good. The law defines sin. The precepts of the law are the basis of YHWH’s covenant with His people and the standard used in His judgment. The great principles of the law are embodied in the Ten Commandments. Written by the very finger of YHWH in stone and ratified at Sinai, they were illuminated and magnified in the life and teachings of Messiah Yahshua. They express the love and will of YHWH concerning human conduct and relationships, and are binding and in effect until heaven and earth pass away. Keeping the law cannot save one to eternal life, rather it is the natural outpouring of love and obedience which flows from where it is written in the heart of those in whom the Holy Spirit dwells. Messiah Yahshua summed up the whole law in YHWH’s two greatest commands: to love YHWH with all your heart, and to love your neighbor as yourself.

The Sabbath was blessed and sanctified by YHWH at creation on the seventh day. It was made for man to rest upon and it is holy. It is also one of the Ten Commandments and, therefore, it is forever binding and immutable. To break the Sabbath, by using it for our own worldly lusts and pleasures, is a sin. In addition to being a memorial of creation and a command, the Sabbath is also a sign between YHWH and His chosen people. It is an eternal mark upon His children of His covenant with them.

The Feasts of YHWH are appointed to be celebrated and kept by mankind forever. The annual holy days have been observed by the obedient and faithful children of YHWH throughout the ages and shall be until the very end of time. The festivals bring order and rhythm to His seasons, and they bring blessings upon those who keep them. They provide opportunities for worship, fellowship and instruction to YHWH’s people; and they provide us a beautiful picture of His plan of salvation.

Salvation is the gift of YHWH to those who love Him. It came by the death of Messiah Yahshua who gave Himself as the ultimate and final sacrifice for our sins. Salvation comes without cost to all who believe and accept it, and is freely given by YHWH in His perfect grace and mercy. It is obtained by faith in YHWH and by His atoning work through Messiah Yahshua, whose is the only name under heaven and given among men by which one can be saved. When in faith one turns from their sin, truly repents, and humbly asks forgiveness of YHWH, that person will be saved.By salvation we are justified, made righteous, and redeemed to right standing before our Father YHWH. We are then adopted as His legitimate sons and daughters and are grafted into His family, the children of Israel. As a child of YHWH, we become heirs to His promises and kingdom, and we will live with Him for eternity.

Immersion is a ritual and symbol by which we confess our faith in YHWH and in His Messiah. It is a testament of our union with Him, of His forgiveness of our sins and, along with the laying on of hands, of our receiving His Holy Spirit. It is done by immersion in water following our repentance and a turning away from sin. At immersion the “old man” of sin in us is put to death and we are symbolically resurrected with Messiah Yahshua to walk after Him in the newness of life everlasting.

Israel is that body of people who believe that YHWH is the one and only Almighty Creator, who confess the name of Messiah Yahshua and who have faith in Him as their Master and Savior. They are the ones who know His voice and follow Him wherever He goes. Not bound by walls of buildings or of denominations, they are the children of YHWH who are indwelt by His Holy Spirit. They always seek to do the will of their Father in heaven which is given in His written Word. Israel is called out to be separate from the world and its ways. They instead join together for worship, for instruction in the scriptures, for the celebration of YHWH’s sabbaths and feasts, for good works and service to others, and for the worldwide proclamation of the good news of Messiah Yahshua and the coming of His kingdom.

The Kingdom of YHWH will be established with the return of Messiah Yahshua at the end of this age. He will come in power and glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. His elect, both the natural and the grafted in, the living and those who have died, will rise to meet Him and His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. There will be a terrible war which will end with Satan bound and Messiah Yahshua reigning in peace on the earth with His saints for a thousand years. After this time, Satan will be loosed for one final battle, which he will lose, and he will be cast into the lake of fire forever. This will be followed by the judgment in which all mankind will be resurrected to stand before the great throne of YHWH and be judged for their deeds. The books will be opened and those whose names are not written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. Finally, there will be a new heaven and new earth. A new holy city will come down from heaven and YHWH will dwell there among His children forever.
